Overview
This guide covers how to deploy LegalSifter ReviewPro — an AI-powered contract review and redlining add-in for Google Docs — across your Google Workspace organization. After completing the steps in this guide, your users will see ReviewPro available directly in Google Docs without needing to install it themselves.
Marketplace listing: LegalSifter ReviewPro on Google Workspace Marketplace
Marketplace listing
Before you begin
Confirm the following before starting the installation:
Requirement | Details |
Admin role | You must be signed in as a super administrator for your Google Workspace account. Delegated admins with Marketplace app management permissions also qualify. |
LegalSifter subscription | Each user who will review contracts needs an active LegalSifter ReviewPro subscription. The add-in is free to install; a subscription is required to access review features. Contact legalsifter.com/contact to provision user seats. |
Marketplace access enabled | Your organization must allow admin-installed Marketplace apps. Verify this in Admin Console → Apps → Google Workspace Marketplace apps → Settings. The setting must be set to "Allow all apps" or "Allow selected apps only" — not "Do not allow any apps". |
Organizational Units (optional) | If you plan to deploy to specific teams only (Path B below), configure your Organizational Units in the Admin Console before starting. |
Choose your deployment method
Path | Use when | Admin effort |
A — Install for everyone | All users at your organization should have ReviewPro | 5 minutes |
B — Install for specific teams | Only certain departments (e.g., Legal, Contracts) need ReviewPro | 10 minutes |

What LegalSifter ReviewPro can access
When you install ReviewPro, Google displays an OAuth permission consent screen. The table below explains each permission in plain language.
LegalSifter ReviewPro required permissions
Permission Google shows you | Why ReviewPro needs it |
See, edit, create, and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app | Creates a redlined copy of the reviewed contract in the user's Drive. ReviewPro cannot access any files the user has not opened in the add-in. |
View and manage documents that this application has been installed in | Reads the contract text from the currently open Google Doc to perform AI-powered review. |
Connect to an external service | Sends document content to LegalSifter's servers for AI analysis and retrieves the generated redlines and suggestions. |
Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications | Renders the ReviewPro sidebar interface inside Google Docs. |
See your primary Google Account email address | Links the Google account to the user's LegalSifter organization for authentication. |
See your personal info, including any personal info you've made publicly available | Associates the active session with the authenticated user profile. |
Data handling: ReviewPro only processes document content when a user actively opens a document in the add-in. Contract content is transmitted securely to LegalSifter's servers and may be processed by third-party AI providers (OpenAI or Google Gemini™) based on your organization's configuration. No data is stored locally on user devices.
Privacy Policy: legalsifter.com/privacy
Terms of Service: legalsifter.com/terms-conditions
No Domain-Wide Delegation (DWD) required. ReviewPro uses standard OAuth — no service account configuration is needed, and the add-in cannot access documents the user has not opened.
What your users will see
After installation, ReviewPro appears in Google Docs under Extensions → LegalSifter ReviewPro. Users click the menu item to open the sidebar and begin a contract review. No user account setup is required beyond signing in with their LegalSifter credentials on first use.

Troubleshooting
"I don't see the Admin install button"
You may not be signed in with a super administrator account, or you may be signed into multiple Google accounts simultaneously. Sign out of all accounts, sign back in with your super admin account only, and retry.
"The add-in isn't showing up for users after 24 hours"
Confirm the install was successful: go to Apps → Google Workspace Marketplace apps → Apps list — ReviewPro should appear with status Domain Installed.
Confirm affected users are signed into their organization Google account, not a personal account.
Have users close and reopen Google Docs and check Extensions → LegalSifter ReviewPro.
"Users see a 'This app is blocked' error"
Your organization's Marketplace settings may restrict app installs. Check Apps → Google Workspace Marketplace apps → Settings and verify the setting allows admin-installed apps.
"The add-in works for some users but not others"
If you used Path B (targeted install), verify the affected users are in the correct Organizational Unit or group.
"Users are prompted to authorize permissions again"
A user may have revoked the add-in's data access from their Google account settings. Ask the user to open the add-in and complete the authorization flow again, or re-grant access from Admin Console → Security → Access and data control → API controls.
"The Admin Console shows the app is installed but users don't see it after 24 hours"
